About AudioGust

Hooky anthems for the disenchanted optimist

Chris Evans, known by his stage name AudioGust, seeks to create music that resonates deeply with listeners, weaving stories that speak to the disenchanted and the dreamers alike. With a penchant for crafting melodic rock anthems underscored by driving rhythms and evocative guitar arrangements, AudioGust's music serves as a sonic exploration of the modern human experience. His lyrics, delivered with the wit and insight of a seasoned observer, navigate the complexities of contemporary life and relationships, offering a poignant blend of disappointment and optimism.  Drawing inspiration from bands like The Police, Green Day, and Foo Fighters, AudioGust stands out as a curious extrospective storyteller, relentlessly creative in his pursuit of authentic expression.

A prodigious creator, AudioGust released 20 songs during 2023, including his debut album “Walk With Me”, follow-up EP Hope From Darkness and four other tracks. Most recently AudioGust released  the three song EP Love and Pain and released at least one song every month in 2024.

Amaze You

Released June 5, 2026

Some people have been through enough that they don't hand out trust easily—and honestly, why should they? "Amaze You" is a song about showing up, following through, and accepting that meaningful connections take time. Built around soaring vocals, piano, synths, and a big emotional payoff, it's one of the most hopeful songs I've written in a long time.

Available everywhere now.

First He Lies

Released May 8, 2026

“First He Lies” is a dynamic alt-rock track driven by punchy guitars and a groove-forward rhythm section. The song shifts between swinging and straight-time feels, mirroring a narrator who bends truth into performance. A chaotic solo adds tension and release. Promoting with social content and press. Fits alt-rock and modern rock playlists.

AudioGust's 3rd Album "Falling From Down"

Released November 7, 2025

This album came from a year of looking at the world and trying to make sense of it — the chaos, the exhaustion, the flashes of connection that keep us going. It’s about what happens when you think you’ve hit bottom and realize there’s still further to fall… and how you find strength in that.

Across these songs are moments of collapse, reflection, and recovery — some heavy, some hopeful. You might hear your own story in there somewhere — in the noise, in the quiet, or in that space between the two.

Blending raw energy with introspective storytelling, the album explores the unpredictable nature of inspiration—both the exhilarating moments when it strikes and the emptiness when it fades.

Offering a deep dive into the creative process, this record features six brand-new songs as well as fan-favorite singles, including 'Tomorrow is Mine', a finalist in the 2024 USA Songwriting Contest.

What They're Saying About AudioGust

“At a point in independent music where the emotional register often defaults to either ironic detachment or unearned euphoria, ‘Amaze You’ offers something less easy and more durable. It is a song about trying, carefully and without guarantees, to be better than what someone has experienced before. Not many writers frame that well. AudioGust does.”

— Tagg Magazine

“A clever slice of pop rock, its gets under the skin in quick time. Melodically loaded hooks and teasing riffs join agile rhythms as the track erupts, Evans' harmonious vocals adding to the virulence as his intimate lyrical contemplation exposes an artistic heart. With hues of pop punk and power pop adding to its rich fertility, the song is one of those lingering pleasures that continue to tease and play away in thoughts without actually being present in ears and a moment to suggest that its bigger Here We Go Again companion should not be ignored.”

Here We Go Again

Released March 31

'Here We Go Again' captures the artist’s late-night encounter with his muse—an unexpected, almost mystical moment when a song begins to take shape in his mind. As dawn approaches, the rush of ideas intensifies, and he scrambles to keep up, fearing that if he lets them slip away, inspiration may stop visiting altogether. With driving energy and vivid storytelling, AudioGust sets the tone for the album’s exploration of the highs and lows of the creative process.

Tomorrow is Mine

Released August 23rd

A powerful story of optimism in the middle of a nightmare. AudioGust's next release “Tomorrow is Mine” tells the story of a young girl, trapped in a desperate situation, yet she maintains an optimistic view that things will turn around for her. The song starts with a portrait of a young girl dreaming of a better life. As the song progresses, it becomes clear that she is trapped in a dangerous war-torn city with violence all around her, yet she still focuses on manifesting a better life.

Seattle

Now Streaming on all services

Seattle needs a theme song, and this is it. A song about loneliness and connection and seeking a place that's "just a little wild".

AudioGust next release “Seattle” is a story of longing to get home after being away on the road and a desire to share the beauty of the Emerald City with people he meets along the way. “It’s really a love song to Seattle. I’ve lived here since the late 90’s and whenever I travel and meet people who’ve never been here, I can’t help but share the many things that are so special about Seattle and all of the truly unique spaces all around it.”

Love and Pain EP

This release includes three powerful songs that were co-written and produced by AudioGust and, for the first time, feature vocal performances by some of his co-writers.
"Not OK", featuring an amazing vocal by KSENIA, is a  smoldering Pop Rock song about jealousy from an ended relationship.
The title song "Love and Pain", featuring a smoky, emotional vocal by LadyMac, describes the shock of a recent loss of a relationship.
"Believe Me", featuring another outstanding vocal performance by Zahra Deljoui, chronicles a loss of trust in a relationship and posits "We can’t go on unless I know that you believe me"

Love and Pain was released on all of the major streaming services on March 22, 2024.
