About AudioGust

Hooky anthems for the disenchanted optimist

Chris Evans, known by his stage name AudioGust, seeks to create music that resonates deeply with listeners, weaving stories that speak to the disenchanted and the dreamers alike. With a penchant for crafting melodic rock anthems underscored by driving rhythms and evocative guitar arrangements, AudioGust's music serves as a sonic exploration of the modern human experience. His lyrics, delivered with the wit and insight of a seasoned observer, navigate the complexities of contemporary life and relationships, offering a poignant blend of disappointment and optimism.  Drawing inspiration from bands like The Police, Green Day, and Foo Fighters, AudioGust stands out as a curious extrospective storyteller, relentlessly creative in his pursuit of authentic expression.

A prodigious creator, AudioGust released 20 songs during 2023, including his debut album “Walk With Me”, follow-up EP Hope From Darkness and four other tracks. Most recently AudioGust released  the three song EP Love and Pain and released at least one song every month in 2024.

Go To Sleep

Released April 3, 2026

Ever had one of those nights where your body is exhausted but your mind refuses to shut down? That’s the idea behind my new song “Go To Sleep.” It’s about those sleepless nights while traveling when your thoughts start spiraling and you just want your brain to let go. But there’s a moment in the song where the narrator steps outside and realizes an entire city is awake with the same struggle. It turns out you’re not as alone in those moments as you think.

Do You Remember Summertime?

Released January 9, 2026

“Do You Remember Summertime?” captures the feeling of winter longing bursting into full-blown summer nostalgia. The song opens in a quiet, cold-weather scene — fog, rain, fading leaves — but as the memories spark, the track erupts into a bright, festival-ready chorus built for shouting under open skies. With its soaring “whoa hey-oh” refrain and vivid snapshots of bonfires, road trips, and humid nights, the single blends wintry introspection with the rush of a summer crowd singing in unison. It’s a hands-in-the-air anthem for anyone counting down the days until the world feels warm again.

Now Available: Falling From Down

Released November 7, 2025

This album came from a year of looking at the world and trying to make sense of it — the chaos, the exhaustion, the flashes of connection that keep us going. It’s about what happens when you think you’ve hit bottom and realize there’s still further to fall… and how you find strength in that.

Across these songs are moments of collapse, reflection, and recovery — some heavy, some hopeful. You might hear your own story in there somewhere — in the noise, in the quiet, or in that space between the two.

Award Show

Released April 29

AudioGust releases his new single 'Award Show', a catchy indie rock piece narrated from the perspective of a barren artist riding on inertia, as hollow accolades amplify his dread in a surreal theater of unworthiness - a gilded cage of his own past glory.

'Award Show' delves into the darker side of creative success, exposing the paralyzing grip of imposter syndrome. The song follows an artist who once thrived on inspiration but now finds himself creatively empty, yet still receiving accolades for past work,

As he sits in the audience of a prestigious award show, he silently prays not to win—dreading the spotlight, the praise, and the expectation that he’s something he no longer feels he is. But when his name is called, the weight of the moment only deepens his self-doubt. Playing off his lack of preparation, he accepts the honor, yet inside, he’s unraveling—proof that even recognition can feel like a curse when inspiration is nowhere to be found.

Here We Go Again

Released March 31

'Here We Go Again' captures the artist’s late-night encounter with his muse—an unexpected, almost mystical moment when a song begins to take shape in his mind. As dawn approaches, the rush of ideas intensifies, and he scrambles to keep up, fearing that if he lets them slip away, inspiration may stop visiting altogether. With driving energy and vivid storytelling, AudioGust sets the tone for the album’s exploration of the highs and lows of the creative process.

Tomorrow is Mine

A powerful story of optimism in the middle of a nightmare. AudioGust's next release “Tomorrow is Mine” tells the story of a young girl, trapped in a desperate situation, yet she maintains an optimistic view that things will turn around for her. The song starts with a portrait of a young girl dreaming of a better life. As the song progresses, it becomes clear that she is trapped in a dangerous war-torn city with violence all around her, yet she still focuses on manifesting a better life.

Seattle

Seattle needs a theme song, and this is it. A song about loneliness and connection and seeking a place that's "just a little wild".

AudioGust next release “Seattle” is a story of longing to get home after being away on the road and a desire to share the beauty of the Emerald City with people he meets along the way. “It’s really a love song to Seattle. I’ve lived here since the late 90’s and whenever I travel and meet people who’ve never been here, I can’t help but share the many things that are so special about Seattle and all of the truly unique spaces all around it.”

What They're Saying About AudioGust

“Showcasing a captivating blend of pop-rock that is both instantly catchy and deeply personal. The album is packed with melodically loaded hooks and agile rhythms that quickly get under the skin, much like Gin Blossoms or Maroon 5 in their prime. Evans' harmonious vocals and intimate lyrical explorations evoke the thoughtful artistry of Elliot Smith.” - The Spill Magazine

— The Spill Magazine

“A clever slice of pop rock, its gets under the skin in quick time. Melodically loaded hooks and teasing riffs join agile rhythms as the track erupts, Evans' harmonious vocals adding to the virulence as his intimate lyrical contemplation exposes an artistic heart. With hues of pop punk and power pop adding to its rich fertility, the song is one of those lingering pleasures that continue to tease and play away in thoughts without actually being present in ears and a moment to suggest that its bigger Here We Go Again companion should not be ignored.”
