AudioGust latest release “How You Been?” describes part of his transition from a successful career at an industry leading software company to his return to the music industry. “I was in a position that a lot of people would love to be in. In a way, I was living the dream, but it wasn’t my dream anymore. In the back of my mind, I always wondered what would have happened if I had stuck with music.  I kept thinking about the days when we were backstage after a show with the rest of my band and I wondered what it would be like to do it all again.”

 AudioGust wrote the song with chart-topping songwriter Liz Rodrigues (Celine Dion, Eminem, Putbull). “It was wonderful to work with Liz on this song. She has both a great melodic and rhythmic sense and that was really interesting to blend with my Alt-Rock / Pop Rock styles. We started channeling aspects of the Red Hot Chili Peppers in the chorus with a rapid fire, syncopated melody and that set the tone for the rest of the song.” When they were done writing, AudioGust produced and performed and mixed the track in his studio on Whidbey Island, Washington.
